  • This bridge replaced a Roman bridge in the 10th century
  • The Bridge has two towers. The western tower was built during the reconstruction of the bridge during the reign of Alfonso X of Castile (13th century). Because of its ruinous state the eastern tower was replaced by a Baroque triumphal arch in 1721.
