The building is only known as "Insular Life redevelopment" at this point.
This building will replace the old Insular Life Building at the corner of Ayala Avenue and Paseo De Roxas Avenue.
Originally planned to be built by the Insular Life Corporation as a new headquarters building, plans to demolish the old building to make room on the site failed. Instead, the building underwent a redevelopment and modernisation process including new cladding.
Ever since Insular Life Corporation moves its new corporate headquarters to Muntinlupa, the project has been cancelled. The Insular Life Building houses the local head offices in Makati.
