  • Originally planned with a steel frame, the tower was later redesigned as concrete, which will reduce floor-to-floor height by 3 feet and make possible column-free floors with spans up to 40 feet.
  • The building will be the first post-tensioned concrete office tower in Manhattan since the early 1970s.
  • The site was previously occupied by a single-story flea market-style shopping complex, demolished in late 2006; the original gates were left standing to be used as temporaty gates/fence to the site.
