  • A fifty-foot sign on stilts topped off this building, to circumvent the height restrictions at the time.
  • This was the flagship theatre for United Artists when it was built.
  • Portraits of stars who financed the theatre appear on interior murals, including Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford, and Douglas Fairbanks.
  • The United Artists Building was the tallest building in Los Angeles for a year. It continued to be the tallest privately owned building in the city until 1956.
