Facts

  • The large rooftop helipad, which also serves as the tower's icon, is only used for emergencies.
  • The helipad is 48 meters in diameter and made of steel.
  • The helipad was first used in an Israeli Air Force drill on November 11, 2003.
  • Named after the late Ted Arison, one of the largest contributors to Sourasky Medical Center.
  • Built on top of the existing 4-storey, old hospitalization building of Ichilov Hospital.
  • Tallest hospital in Israel.
  • The tower has an unusual parallelogram configuration, with two very high angles to the west and east.
  • The only Israeli hospital (until the completion of Legacy Heritage Medical Innovation Tower), and second Israeli highrise, with a rooftop helipad. The third was City Gate Ramat Gan.
