  • The Norton Palmer Hotel opened on December 17th, 1927 as one of the leading hotels in Windsor. It closed in 1974 and was demolished shortly after.
  • Following the success of his Norton Hotel in downtown Detroit, Charles Norton partnered with Perry C. Palmer to build the Norton-Palmer Hotel in Windsor.
  • The Norton-Palmer Hotel was the tallest building in Windsor upon completion.
  • The International Hockey League was formed during a three hour meeting on December 5, 1945 held at the Norton-Palmer Hotel.
