Facts

  • In 2003, following the conversion of adjacent World Trade Centre London Building Four from office to residential, the developers decided to revise their plans for the site. On 28th August 2003, a planning application was submitted for Four South Quay Square and Five South Quay Square in place of Building Five.
  • Building Five was initially proposed in 2002 as part of the World Trade Centre London project, for part of a site formerly occupied by One South Quay Plaza, an office building damaged and subsequently demolished as a result of an IRA bomb in 1996.
