  • When built, Great Arthur House was the tallest residential building in London and was the first to exceed the 30.5 metre (100 feet) height limit imposed in the City of London.
  • Great Arthur House was approved in 1954 as part of the Golden Lane Estate.

  • The building is notable for its early use of opaque glass cladding as well as its rooftop canopy, rooftop garden, pool and pergola.
  • The interior features sliding partitions between the living rooms and bedrooms and staircases within the maisonettes' living rooms which at the time was a novel feature.
