  • The building's front façade (looking towards the Bosphorus) has 14 regular floors above ground (15 including the service floor), while its rear façade (with the main entrance) has 11 regular floors above ground (12 including the service floor).
  • The Hilton Istanbul is the oldest Hilton hotel in Europe.
  • The entrance of the hotel is designed like a flying carpet, which is a popular element in the 1001 Nights fairy tales - a theme which is also reflected throughout the building's interior.
  • James Bond 007 (Sean Connery) was shown as staying in this hotel in the film "From Russia With Love".
  • Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP, it was one of the company's most famous designs in the 1950s and also one of the earliest and finest examples of modern architecture in Istanbul.
