  • The façade is polychromatic - an effect achieved with coloured inks bonded to the glazing.
  • Palestra's floors constitute an array of boxes which are stacked one on top of the other and also cantilever out over the street at the western end of the building.
  • The building won the RIBA Commercial Building Prize for the London Region, 2007 and was awarded a commendation in the Structural Steel Awards, 2007.
  • The building's name is taken from the ancient Greek word for a gymnasium or wrestling school.
