Facts

  • In the courtyard of Temple House and neighbouring Bucklersbury House lie the remains of the Temple of Mithras, a Roman temple built in 2AD. Sadly, the temple remains were removed from their original site during construction and rebuilt by Legal & General, who had little regard for their historic value.
  • The demolition of Temple Court was implemented as part of the Walbrook Square scheme, a planning application for which was submitted in May 2006.
