  • George Gilbert Scott was appointed as architect for a new church, and sketched a design in 1868. The main building was completed in 1872, with the tower and spire added in 1879, at a total cost of around £75,000.
  • People have worshipped on this site for around 1,000 years.
  • St. Mary Abbots boasts the tallest spire in London.
