  • Initial plans for a 200m-tall, 38-storey slanting skyscraper for the site, designed by Sheppard Robson, were not pursued.
  • The site was cleared in late 2005 with the demolition of the existing building.
  • Planning permission was originally secured by DB Real Estate and Helical Bar PLC. The site was sold in 2006 to British Land, who built the scheme speculatively.
  • Towards the end of 2006, British Land submitted a planning application for a revised scheme, featuring 82,600 sq m of accommodation in a building rising to a height of 95.6m, designed by Arup Associates. The revised scheme was approved in February 2007.
  • The building includes two trading floors, each of 42,500 sq ft.
  • The building has a BREEAM rating of 'excellent'.
  • Roof terraces are situated on levels 8, 12, 16 and 20 and have a combined floor space of 4,888 sq m (52,617 sq ft).
