Facts

  • Cinergy Field (formerly Riverfront Stadium) served as the home of Major League Baseball's Cincinnati Reds and the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals from 1970-1999, when the football team moved to the new Paul Brown Stadium just downriver.
  • Before the 2001 baseball season, more than 14,000 seats were removed from left and center field to allow construction of the Great American Ball Park, the new home of the Cincinnati Reds beginning in the 2003 season. During the 2001-2002 seasons, the stadium offered panoramic views of Mt. Adams and Kentucky.
  • Complete demolition of this stadium began on 7 October 2002.
