  • The retractable roof can open or close in 12 minutes.
  • Houston's Union Station, which was dedicated on March 2, 1911, has been incorporated into the ballpark on the corner of Texas and Crawford Streets. The former rail station now serves as the park's main entrance in addition to housing Astros team offices and the team store.
  • A replica of a 19th century locomotive is located along the lower western roof, and has become one of the park's most recognizable symbols.
  • The park has a maximum seating capacity of 40,950 for baseball games.
  • The retractable roof opens and closes about 160 times a year covering an estimated distance of 14.6 miles.
