Facts

  • Being constructed on the former site of Passavant Pavilion, a neo-gothic structure demolished in 2001.
  • The building is named for Robert H. Lurie, the late husband of benefactor Ann Lurie, the principal of Lurie Investments, Inc. and a contributor to Northwestern's School of Music.
  • Initial plans called for the Passavant facade to be incorporated into this building. Although this did not work out, details from the old building are expected to be used in the interior.
