Facts

  • This 763-bed dormitory was declared structurally unsound after the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake. The building was finally imploded on March 28, 1999.
  • The former dormitory took its name from Joseph Verducci, who served as the head football coach and athletic director for SFSU in the 1950s.
  • The demolished units were replaced in 2001 with The Village at Centennial Square, a mixed-use student residence elsewhere on campus.
