Facts

  • Located on Buffalo's East Side away from downtown, the Central Terminal was a city unto itself when built, combining an office tower with transportation facilities.
  • It was never the success that it was hoped to be. The Depression began soon after it opened, and it was busy only during the years of World War II.
  • It has recently been left to decay. Its future is uncertain.
  • The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
