Facts

  • San Diego's tallest building when it opened.
  • Situated on a 100'x100' level parcel at northeast corner of 5th and Broadway.
  • Originally built in a renaissance revival style, it was extensively remodeled in 1940 to an art deco style, although some original classical entrance areas remained.
  • This building was renovated into 84 residential units in 2005. A postmodern cornice was also added.
