  • There are four corner towers of different designs, of which the northwest tower is the tallest.
  • It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1969.
  • The interior features a large skylit courtyard divided by a bridge, with the west side open to the roof and the east side containing a grand stairwell.
  • The Old City Hall occupies an entire city block near the State Capitol grounds. In plan it measures 140 by 170 feet.
  • Built of stone, granite, brick, and cast iron it was designed in a Victorian High Gothic style. Part of the design's effect comes from variations in the textures of granite.
