Facts

  • The Pacific Tower has an exterior of coral limestone concrete panels. The panels are ribbed to create a sandy, heavily weathered texture.
  • Engraved patterns were inspired by traditional Hawaiian designs.
  • Joseph Farrell, the architect in charge of the project, explained in an interview that the goal was to create a building with an island theme through materials, artwork, and landscaping.
  • The architect for this tower is sometimes mistakenly credited to Chapman Cobeen Desai Sakata, Inc., who designed the adjacent Pauahi Tower.
