  • The hotel, named in honor of Toledo banker and businessman Jay K. Secor (1872-1921), was home of the Toledo School for the Arts.
  • It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
  • The building is home to the Science Horizon Academy, the Toledo Opera and several artist studios.
  • The Secor Hotel was closed for about three months in 1934 to undergo a renovation overseen by Cleveland architectural firm Walker & Weeks.
