  • The Threefoot Building is faced with dark brick highlighted with bright decorations.
  • It is still the most outstanding feature of the Meridian skyline.
  • The name is derived from that of its builder, the Dreifus family (in German 'drei' translates to three and 'fuss' translates to foot).
  • It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
  • The Threefoot Building became vacant in 2000. Interior demolition to renovate the building into a Courtyard by Marriott hotel began in December 2017.
