Facts

  • A three-story square limestone structure built in 1882, this is still the tallest building in downtown Lafayette.
  • The Tippecanoe County Courthouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
  • A 14-foot statue depicting Liberty adorns the top of the building. Restorations by Schmidt Associates were completed in the 1990s.
