Facts

  • Renderings released before and early in the construction process showed two prominent spires of unknown height.
  • This building is connected by skyway to Town Square, Macy's St. Paul, the Minnesota Children's Museum, and the World Trade Center Ramp.
  • The building was renamed Wells Fargo Place on May 15, 2003.
  • The former Minnesota World Trade Center has a large retail mall on the lower levels. The mall struggled to retain tenants in the 1990s, and Wells Fargo Bank had taken over much of this space for office space by 2003.
  • Wells Fargo Place is the tallest building in St. Paul. Follow this link ( Globe Building ) to begin a timeline of the tallest buildings in the city since 1887.
