Facts

  • This was constructed to honor the American victory at the Battle of Bennington that took place during the Revolutionary War in 1777.
  • From its observation deck, one has panoramic views of Vermont, New York and Massachusetts in addition to the town of Bennington itself.
  • Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.
  • This is the tallest structure in the state of Vermont.
