  • Headquarters of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Shipbuilders, Blacksmiths, Forges and Helpers, AFL-CIO, which has over 122,000 members worldwide.
  • A private membership, social and dinner club ("The Terrace Club") for the city's elite occupied the 9th and 10th floors of this building between 1949 and its closure because of an aging and declining membership in 1989.
  • The Terrace Club offered a striking view of sister city Kansas City, Missouri's skyline from Downtown KC-MO to the Country Club Plaza and landings and take-offs from the Charles F. Wheeler Municipal Airport.
