Facts

  • The top four floors were added in 1926. The original building height is clearly seen by the heavy cornice with Mannerist bracketing at the tenth story level.
  • The 112-room Hotel Utica was reopened in April, 2001 after a meticulous restoration which lasted over two years. The restoration was made possible in part by a $1.5 million grant from the State of New York. Total cost was $13 million.
  • Listed as a National Trust Historic Hotel in 2002.
