Facts

  • The hotel was famous for its Submarine Grill, a restaurant and pool directly underneath a glass-bottomed pool. The room also featured murals by N.C. Wyeth.
  • 30- to 40-story additions were twice proposed. The first was designed by Price & McLanahan in 1916, and the second by McLanahan & Bencker in 1925. Neither was constructed.
  • The Traymore was crowned with twin domes of 220' and a lesser dome of 150' near the Boardwalk end.
