  • The retail space on the ground floor that originally held a Sears, Roebuck, & Company department store, was renovated in 2002 to return it to its former appearance.
  • The Black Building was Fargo's tallest building for many years, and was also the tallest building in the state until the North Dakota State Capitol in Bismarck was completed.
