  • Created by a merger of the International House and International Trade Mart, WTC New Orleans was the first World Trade Center organization in the world. The original headquarters has been reconfigured into the boutique concept International House Hotel.
  • Situated along the Mississippi River at and , the most important intersection in all of New Orleans.
  • The cross-shaped plan and external sun-shade louvers make this one of the city's most distinctive high-rise buildings.
  • Tallest building in New Orleans from 1967 - 1969; surpassed by the equally distinctive Plaza Tower.
  • Located on the 30th floor, and open to both members and guests of the WTC, is the Plimsoll Club which overlooks both the Mississippi River and downtown New Orleans.
  • Currently, a renovation is on the way to create a 653-room hotel in the lower 18 floors of the tower in addition to creating a new, 500,000 square foot convention center at the tower's base. The upper floors will remain as offices for the WTC.
