Facts

  • Aid Association for Lutherans of Appleton, Wisconsin and Lutheran Brotherhood of Minneapolis merged in 2001 to create Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, the largest fraternal benefit organization in the United States.
  • Almost all of the windows in the Thrivent Financial Building are on the western face, affording views of the downtown skyline. The eastern face is virtually windowless and is easily seen when approaching downtown from the east.
  • The building is connected to Centre Village and the 4th Avenue Parking Ramp by skyway.
  • The name "Thrivent Financial" was added to the blank eastern facade during May 2004.
