Facts

  • This building is connected by skyway to Fifty South Sixth, The 15 Building, and City Center.
  • The facade was originally more ornate than it is today; the terra cotta cornice and other ornament was removed and replaced with brick in 1936 (Larson & McLaren, architects and C.F. Haglin, general contractor).
  • The facade was switched from gothic to beaux-arts during the design process in ca 1910.
  • The structural system rests on a foundation of 13,000 cubic yards of limestone, supplied by the Minnesota Crushed Stone Company.
