Facts

  • Tallest building in Fort Worth from 1895 until 1920 when the W.T. Waggoner Building was completed.
  • The courthouse's design was inspired by the Texas State Capitol in Austin. Both buildings are made of Texas Pink Granite.
  • Standing proud at the north end of Main Street, it is one of the tallest courthouses in Texas, possibly the tallest.
  • From 1993 to 2001, the building was the backdrop for Walker, Texas Ranger a series which aired on CBS Television.
  • One of the first steel framed buildings in the southwestern United States.
