Facts

  • This was the southernmost of three identical high-rise residence halls that stretched along Scioto Street, just south of Martin Luther King Junior Drive on the University of Cincinnati's West Campus. The others are Morgens Hall and Scioto Hall.
  • A plan to extensively refurbish this building was announced in Spring 2005. It would have entailed a radically alteration of the facade and a conversion from traditional dormitory rooms to suite-style residences.
  • The renovation proposal was scrapped by Winter 2006, and the University demolished the building in the first half of the year.
  • This is the second high-rise dormitory to be demolished at the University of Cincinnati, the first being Sander Hall 15 years earlier.
