Facts

  • This is considered the last structure to have been built by the Kroh Brothers of Kansas City, Missouri before the family business was forced into bankruptcy during the savings and loan crisis of the late 1980's.
  • Although a second 15-story tower was planned adjacent to the 4600 Madison Avenue structure, it was never built and the site remains vacant.
  • The second site remains viable because the north and southbound lanes of Kansas City, Missouri's Southwest Trafficway carry mass transportation and thousands of cars each day on either side of the location.
  • One of the Kroh Brothers' most noted (regionally and nationally) projects is the upscale surburban residential city of Leawood, Kansas.
