  • Trinity Church dates from 1733, when a splinter group broke away from the First Presbyterian Church.
  • The first building was constructed in 1743, but burned in 1804.
  • The present structure dates from 1809.
  • This is the only New Jersey church in a public park.
  • It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
  • Significant alterations were made by Richard Upjohn in 1862.
  • The building's design combines a tall Georgian steeple with Gothic Revival windows as well as entrance doors and porch in Norman style.
