First temporary station in The Netherlands. Built to stand for just a short period of time. It was located about 30 metres east of the original stations location. In Rotterdam a similar concept was used for the reconstruction of their Central Station
The building was demolished in 2012 to make way for new buildings of the Arnhem Centraal complex
Replaced Station Arnhem which closed in 2006 and was demolished in 2007. The temporary station closed again in 2011 when the passenger tunnel of the new Arnhem Central Station reopened
The station was originally planned to close 2009, but delays of the new transfer hall and tunnel made it necessary to stay open 2 years longer
The railway platforms were accessible via a large footbridge
