Facts

  • City's largest apartment building when completed.
  • Designed to appear as three individual towers. The building is structurally wider than it is tall.
  • The building is a landmark because it stood removed from all other high rise buildings for a half century. It is in virtually every picture taken from Seattle's most popular viewpoint on Queen Anne Hill. It's also the first major structure visible from the Space Needle looking south.
  • It is situated along the monorail line and a rooftop garden overlooks the tracks.
  • In July 2007, the building was purchased by Archstone-Smith for $82 million.
