  • The gala grand opening was on December 6, 1924.
  • The Fairmont Olympic was Seattle's only 5-star hotel until the Hotel 1000 and Four Season hotels were built after 2010.
  • In 2015, the Fairmont Olympic will embark on a multi-million dollar room renovation.
  • Managed by Westin from 1955, then Four Seasons took over in 1979, followed by the Canadian-owned Fairmont hotel chain on August 1, 2003.
