Facts

  • The architecture of the church is Italian Renaissance in execution.
  • The cornerstone was laid on 12th November, 1905 and completed in 1907 with the dedication on 22nd December, 1907.
  • Stained glass windows are by Charles Connick and Hans Goffried von Stockhausen.
  • The central glass dome shattered from the weight of a 3-4 foot snowfall in the winter of 1916. The dome was removed and never rebuilt.
  • Bronze doors by Ulrich Henn were installed in 1999.
