  • The plan of the church is that of a Greek Cross, with a wide, open interior.
  • This was architect Henry Hobson Richardson's earliest work of what would later be dubbed 'Richardsonian Romanesque' architecture.
  • Trinity was dedicated in 1877 and is regarded as a masterpiece of American architecture.
  • As part of the commemoration of the American Institute of Architects' 150th anniversary in 2007, the organization announced the list of the 150 highest-ranked structures as "America's Favorite Architecture".
