  • This adaptive re-use project consists of the seismic and life safety upgrade to one of San Francisco's most historic buildings.
  • In addition to the the physical upgrades, the building's use was changed from office to residential, repositioning the property to its highest and best use.
  • Alayo Consulting Architects were responsible for the re-design in 2001.
  • This was originally known as the Head Building.
  • Its base was remodeled in 1959 by William B. Meyer for Brooks Brothers.
  • The building is a three-part vertical block with Renaissance/Baroque ornamentation and glazed terra-cotta.
