  • An open staircase structure weaves down the south façade; if the staircase's roof were accessible, it would be possible to climb it on the outside as well as the inside.
  • The building's shape is formed by two slabs overlapping each other in the center.
  • This and the University Hall are the only two Chicago high-rise buildings designed by S.O.M. partner Walter Netsch, the principal architect of UIC's east campus.
