Facts

  • Union Tower was the first in a late 1990's trend of small office buildings on the perimeter of downtown. Concentrated around Clinton Street, these buildings generally took about 1 year each to build.
  • The 18th floor, housing mechanical equipment, is recessed from the perimeter columns and illuminated at night. At Christmas the lighting is red & green.
  • Named for its proximity to Union Station.
  • The architectural style is similar to that of Congress Center, one block to the southeast. The two buildings were constructed in sequence by the same team of companies.
