  • The front side was reclad in 1940 by architects Holabird & Root. It replaced an elaborate neo-classical façade with three arched doorways, two tiers of top-level pilasters, a projecting cornice, and a balustrade at the front of the roof.
  • In July 1926 plans were made to add 11 floors to the top of this building.
