Facts

  • A proposal in autumn 2003, after the Scholl College moved to North Chicago, would have converted this building into 86 condominium units.
  • The building was originally built as a women's dormitory and named for its benefactor Cyrus Hall McCormick, president of International Harvester Corporation.
  • In 1969 the building was converted from a women's dormitory to the William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine.
  • This building was demolished in late 2004 and replaced with the 30 West Oak condominium tower.
