  • This is the most often featured New York hotel in the cinema, playing a role in movies such as North By Northwest.
  • The Plaza Hotel was acquired by Elad Properties in 2004 for $675,000,000.
  • The Plaza Hotel will close on April 30 for a $100,000,000 renovation effort that will result in 200 luxury condominiums, 150 hotel rooms and between 150,000 and 160,000 sf of retail space on five to six levels. The refurbished hotel is scheduled to reopen late in 2006.
