  • On the top of the building is the largest carillon in Mexico, with 47 bells weighing a total of 26 tons.
  • The tower was fomerly used by the Mexican Government Bank BANOBRAS but financial problems forced them to vacate.
  • Due to the deterioration and lack of maintenance the building is not usable now.
  • The emergency stairs are on the north side of the building.
  • The drawings on the top are pre-Hispanic symbols.
  • The east and west facades have 15 degrees of inclination.
  • It is the tallest building in the north of the city.
  • The larger bell in the carillon weighs 5 tons and is named Hidalgo.
  • It is located at 2367 meters above sea level.
