  • This behemoth is awaiting funding before being fully occupied as the top 10-12 floors are empty and have been for years.
  • 2002 plans are to fill the tower through hospital closures.
  • Tallest building in city outside of downtown.
  • There are approximately 600 windows in the tower.
  • Over 4,900 tonnes of structural steel were used in the construction of the building.
  • There are 469 inpatient beds in the tower with an additional 114 beds in the podium level.
  • The tower shell was completed in 1991.
  • Excavation involved moving 81,000 cubic metres of earth from the site.
  • The tower was renamed after B.C.'s foremost philanthropist, Jim Pattison, in 1999.
